Living Loudly. Dying to be Heard
Perspectives on Advanced Breast Cancer

Living Loudly. Dying to be Heard: Perspectives on Advanced Breast Cancer is an AstraZeneca campaign supported by the Marie Keating Foundation. It brings together the experiences of eight women living with advanced breast cancer, giving them a platform to share the realities of their lives in their own words.

Through their perspectives, the campaign explores the physical, psychological and emotional impact of advanced breast cancer, not only on the women themselves, but also on their families and loved ones. It aims to challenge perceptions of what it means to live with advanced disease and encourage a broader conversation about the support required to help people live as fully and as well as possible.

Listening is where change begins

At the centre of Living Loudly. Dying to be Heard are the women sharing their experiences.Their perspectives offer a fuller picture of life with advanced breast cancer, including the realities that can be difficult to see, understand or say out loud. They remind us that people living with advanced cancer are not defined by their diagnosis. They are individuals with relationships, ambitions, responsibilities and lives they want to continue living as fully as possible.

By listening to their voices, we can help create a more informed and inclusive conversation about advanced breast cancer, one that acknowledges the realities of living with an incurable disease and places people’s needs and quality of life at its heart.
